I am currently enjoying painting the sea! I find the colours are vibrant and have lots of interest with different texture tones of blues, greens and whites.
Below are 2 paintings I created in 10 minutes with water colour.
They are very quick studies but I like how they have turned out.
The painting below was painted in Acrylic. I think this is almost abstract and quite experimental. I love all the textures created with thickness of the paint on the canvas.
I used a pallet knife to create the spray from the water and think this is a great way to add texture, another way to do this would be using a dry course paintbrush.
